Very positive development of the Canadian economy was registered in October 2021. This makes Canada even more attractive a destination for immigrants to move to. As the situation around the COVID-19 pandemic is getting better by the day, thanks to vaccinations, the Canadian economy is rebounding better. In October 2021, Canada added 31,000 jobs to its economy. This coincided with the fall in unemployment for the fifth month straight this year. The latest Labor Force Survey by Statistics Canada revealed the status of the period between October 10 and 16. It was in this week that many Canadian provinces implemented initiatives for proof of vaccination. Quebec, British Columbia, and Ontario removed capacity limits. They were replaced with proof-of-vaccine requirements.
Unemployment fell to a low level of 6.7% in October 2021, which was the lowest in 20 months. This was close to the pre-pandemic levels of 5.7% in February 2020.
