More great news from Canada as the 2022 Fall Economic Statement brought to the fore details of the Canadian government’s investment plans to ensure the realization of the Canada Immigration Levels Plan 2023-2025. The Statement was a comprehensive one with plans for various sectors of the Canadian economy, to which Canada immigration is a big contributor.
The Government of Canada enthusiastically reiterated the role of immigration in the economic development of the country. To realize the ambitious Immigration Levels Plan 2023-2025, the government has committed an investment of CAD1.6 million over the next six years. This amount will be used to ensure the smooth processing of immigration applications and settlement of new immigrants arriving in Canada.
It’s essential that faster immigration and quicker as well as effective assistance for newcomers are provided so that they can begin to live and work in Canada better and sooner. Thus, they can fill the vacant jobs in Canada that are desperate for more skilled foreign workers and help the economy stabilize and grow.
The Canadian government will also keep the CAD315 million investment going which is part of a new investment in immigration for the economy. An additional CAD50 million in the 2023-2024 period will be invested enabling the IRCC to achieve the following purposes:
