• In Q1 of 2023, there was a significant increase in ITAs issued in the Express Entry Draws.
• The total number of ITAs issued during this period was 37,559.
• Three all-program draws were held in Q1, each issuing a record-breaking 7,000 invitations.

A review of Express Entry 2021 and 2022

Express Entry Draw 2021

• In Q1 of 2021, a new record was set with the issuance of 44,124 ITAs in the Express Entry Draws.
• During this period, a single Express Entry draw issued an unprecedented number of 27,332 ITAs.
• This draw had a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 75, the lowest ever recorded.

Express Entry Draw 2022

• The first quarter of 2022 recorded the lowest number of ITAs issued to Express Entry candidates who were also Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates.
• Only 6,470 ITAs were issued to this group of candidates during this period.

Record-breaking Q1 2023: Canada Draws

All program Draws

• The Express Entry All-program Draws in the first quarter of 2023 considered candidates from the FSTP, FSWP, and CEC.
• The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores for these draws were notably lower compared to previous quarters.
• During this period, the lowest CRS score set for the draws was 481, indicating a higher chance of selection for many candidates.

PNP Draws

• In 2023, the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) nominee allotments will increase in Canada.
• The top 10 Canadian provinces have set a target of 105,500 for immigration in 2023.
• Ottawa plans to modify its PNP guidelines to facilitate the process for eligible candidates.
