On April 13, 2021, British Columbia held 4 PNP draws that invited 452 immigration candidates in total. This is the list of streams and sub-categories from which candidates were invited:
This was the third-largest PNP draw conducted by British Columbia in 2021.
For these draws, the minimum scores ranged from 79 to 95 points. In total, 420 immigration candidates were issued invitations. BC also conducted a separate draw held for NOC 0621 (Retail & Wholesale Trade Managers) and NOC 0631 (Restaurant & Food Service Managers). In that, 21 invitations were sent to immigration candidates having minimum scores of 113.
BC also issued 11 invitations via Entrepreneur Immigration streams.
BC PNP, which held the draw, conducts such immigration events to attract skilled foreign workers to take up jobs in the province that require their in-demand skills. It has 2 streams namely Skilled Immigration and EEBC. These streams are managed under the SIRS of BC.
To apply via SIRS for Canada immigration to BC, a candidate must first register an account with a profile. This profile will be ranked according to factors like education, work experience, and language proficiency. Candidates who score the highest from each sub-category will be invited to file an application for Canada PR when BC holds a regular immigration draw.
A candidate has to file a complete application via the British Columbia PNP online system within 30 days of the issue of the invitation. If the candidate’s provincial nomination is decided on within 2 to 3 months and the result is positive, that candidate can apply to IRCC for a Canadian permanent resident status under the class of provincial nominee.
The provincial nomination is valid for 6 months from the confirmation date.
