Federal draws and Provincial Nomination draws are the paths that help you to immigrate to Canada. Aspirants should be utilizing the enthusiasm of Canada in keeping its immigration programs running even amidst COVID-19 crisis. Many provincial Nomination draws have taken place in Canada lately. One of them has been British Columbia.
The latest British Columbia draws had 476 new invitations issued to eligible candidates to apply for a provincial nomination. These draws were conducted on March 30, April 6 and April 7, 2020.
British Columbia’s April 7 draw was done under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP)’s Tech Pilot. It’s a Canada immigration stream that brings in skilled tech workers into the country. They contribute a lot to the province’s technology sector. The program enables Canada to recruit tech talent through weekly draws.
The selected candidates in the latest BC draw came from International Graduate and Skilled Worker subcategories. The minimum provincial score required was 85.
18 candidates got invited in the April 6 draw. They were invited via the BC PNP Entrepreneur Immigration stream. The minimum score required for an invitation was 107.
The BC PNP issued invitations to 311 candidates in its March 30 draw. They included skilled and semi-skilled workers and international graduates. They were invited through the Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC streams. In that round of selection, the minimum score needed was between 102 and 105.
Applicants who got an invitation to apply now can do so through the BC PNP Online registration system. They have up to 30 days from the date of invitation to do this.
An invitation to Apply (ITA) is not a guarantee that the applicants will get approval for a nomination.
To be considered under the BC PNP, the candidate must meet certain criteria. The candidate must have a full-time job offer from an employer in British Columbia. It should be of an indeterminate nature. The employer should be willing to support them through the application process.
