British Columbia (BC) added another of its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws to Canada immigration’s list of immigration programs.
In the draw 158 Invitations to Apply (ITA) were issued.
The latest British Columbia PNP draw was held on May 19, 2020. The invited candidates were chosen from the Express Entry BC Immigration and Skill Immigration categories.
The score requirements of the draw went as follows:
Candidates invited under the subcategories of Canada Express Entry BC had to have their profiles in the federal Express Entry system. Since these candidates have received an invitation to apply for a provincial nomination in BC, they are eligible to get an additional 600 points on their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.
These points will in effect guarantee them Invitation to Apply (ITA) in an upcoming federal Express Entry draw.
Many sales and service occupations were left out from the draw due to the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Those who were invited in the draw on 19th May 2020 have a time of maximum 30 days to submit a complete application to the BC PNP for the provincial nomination.
