On August 3, 2022, a BC PNP draw was held through which 174 Canada immigration candidates were invited. These candidates who received invitations from British Columbia can now apply for a provincial nomination for Canada PR.

The 600 points that they will get along with the nomination in case the candidates accept the invitation, will help them get an almost sure chance to apply for Canada PR.

About the BC PNP immigration system

The BC PNP invites eligible people periodically to submit an application to the BC PNP. These are those in the registration pool. They can submit an application for a provincial nomination through the program. They are issued ITAs on the basis of the information given in registrations.

The information given during registration will be used to rank, select, and invite immigration candidates who are highly probable to meet British Columbia’s labor market and economic needs.

These may be targeted invitations issued to support the priorities of the British Columbia government. These include giving support to specific business sectors, facilitating strategic pilot projects, and encouraging regional immigration.

The number of candidates invited and the frequency of BC PNP draws for all categories are managed with the aim of maintaining standard processing times for every applicant. It also aims at supporting the priorities of British Columbia.

Targeted invitations to apply to the Skills Immigration categories may be decided on the basis of any of the factors given below:

• Education level, the field of education, and where it was completed
• Occupation
• Language skills
• Wage and/or skill level required by the Canadian job offer
• Duration and skill level of work experience
• Strategic priorities including
  • Factors that address specific needs of the labor market in British Columbia
  • Support for pilot projects and initiatives government
• Intent to live, work, and settle in a specific region

Invitations are necessary to apply for a nomination if they come under any of the following immigration streams:

• Skilled Worker
• Entry Level and Semi-Skilled
• International Graduate
• Entrepreneur Immigration – Base Category
• Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional Pilot

Applicants under International Post-Graduate and Health Authority streams can file a direct application. They don’t need to receive an ITA (invitation to apply) to lodge an application.
