The new job classification in Australia, the Occupation Standard Classification for Australia (OSCA), was announced as a replacement for the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO). OSCA was introduced and implemented on December 6, 2024. The Australian government recently released the list of OSCA codes and occupations; however, despite the transition, the department is currently using the ANZSCO codes for job classification until further notice.

Occupation Standard Classification for Australia (OSCA)
OSCA, or the Occupation Standard Classification for Australia, was announced after two years of intensive research, which included 800 submissions, 1000 reviewed occupations, and 2,000 stakeholders. The new OSCA was designed as an upgraded version of the ANZSCO.
