Amsterdam plans on upgrading the tourist taxes in 2024 to address tourism-related issues. The city will implement a significant surge in 2024, the highest tariff in the European Union (EU).
As per the local news, the tourist tax rates in Amsterdam are expected to rise by 12.5%. The city expects to generate tax revenue of €65 million in the coming year.
Visitors would have to pay €21.80 per night for an average room of €175 per person, while cruise passengers may expect an increase in the fees from €8 to €11 per visitor.
