The Canadian province of Alberta had a PNP draw held on March 26, 2021, in which 300 immigration candidates to apply for the Alberta Express Entry stream. The minimum CRS score these Express Entry candidates needed was 301.
These candidates had their profiles in the Express Entry system that manages Canada immigration applications for the immigration streams of FSWP, FSTP, and CEC. The CRS scores assigned to these candidates are based on factors such as age, education, work experience, and proficiency in the English or French language.
The candidates who get nominated by Alberta will get 600 extra CRS points. The candidates with the highest scores will stand a high chance to get an ITA in an upcoming federal immigration draw.
The Alberta Express Entry stream is an enhanced PNP. This is meant for Express Entry candidates with strong ties with Alberta or those who are capable of supporting the province in the province’s economic development and diversification priorities.
Currently, Alberta is considering only candidates who are living and working in Alberta already. These candidates must have work experience in an occupation deemed eligible.
