Alberta held a PNP draw that invited Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination. AINP invited 200 Express Entry candidates on April 6, 2021, to file applications for the Express Entry stream of Alberta. The minimum CRS score required for the draw was 302.
An enhanced PNP, the Alberta Express Entry stream is for Express Entry candidates willing for Canada immigration. These candidates have either a strong tie with the province of Alberta or are capable of supporting the provincial government’s efforts to develop the economy and diversify its priorities.
In the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, Alberta is only considering those immigration candidates who are residing and at work in Canada in the province already. Alberta has a list of ineligible jobs. Candidates who have work experience in any other occupation that is considered eligible for the purposes of the stream are chosen in the PNP draw.
The AINP is yet to release info on how many provincial nomination allocations have been made for 2021.
