Germany Immigration in 2022

The net immigration in Germany was recorded to be fourfold in comparison with the previous year at the highest record of 84.3 Million. Net immigration plays an integral role in promoting the country's population and, in turn, boosting the economy.

The largest economy in Europe was seen as lacking skilled workers across industries in mid-2022. As per the reports submitted by German Economic Institute (IW), the healthcare and social fields were primarily affected due to the undersupply of workers.
