Canada is again sending out the message loud and clear that skilled professionals worldwide should do their best to migrate to work in Canada. This is because a recent report has revealed the highest number of job vacancies in Canada in Q2 of 2022.
As per the Job Vacancy and Wage Survey Report, in Q2 of 2022, Canadian job vacancies were 4.7% higher than in Q1 of 2022. Close to 1 million job vacancies in the country are up for grabs. This means the overall job vacancy rate is 5.7%, which is an all-time high.
Calculation of job vacancies is done by finding the number of positions that are vacant corresponding to the total demand for labor. |
Ever since Q1 of 2020, the demand for skilled workers has been on the rise and in fact exceeding the growth in payroll employment! The result was a record increase in the number of job vacancies.
