Highlights: 84 Additional Occupations added to Recognized Employer Program
- 84 new occupations were added to the list of occupations eligible for the Recognized Employer Program (REP).
- Canada-based employers can now recruit temporary foreign workers from a comprehensive list of eligible occupations.
- Recognized employers are set to receive 36 months of validity timeframe for positive LMIAs.
- The Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) noticed employers to apply for a dual-purpose LMIA application.

Canada’s Recognized Employer Pilot Program
The Canadian government introduced the Recognized Employer Pilot Program (REP) to attract skilled foreign workers. The program helps in simplifying the immigration process for both employers and workers.
The REP is a pilot project with a validity of three years and takes place in two phases.
Phase 1: Started September 12, 2023
Phase 2: Started January 2024.
