70 new jobs in S. Aus. for offshore applications to work in Australia

If you are up for an opportunity to work in Australia being an experienced and skilled worker in your field, here’s a persuading reason to try to migrate now.

With an aim to better manage the COVID recovery response of South Australia, 70 more occupations will be opened to applicants residing offshore right now, to work in Australia. This will be implemented from September 28, 2021.

Among the minimum requirements to obtain a state nomination from South Australia in this regard are criteria including:

• A minimum work experience of 8 years in the occupation/related occupation
• A proficient plus level in the English language skills

A complete list of requirements for each occupation will be made available on South Australia’s Skilled Occupation List from 10 am, ACST on September 28, 2021.

To obtain a state nomination from South Australia, prospective applicants have to meet the requirements of the Department of Home Affairs and state-specific occupations. The applicants must also have skills in an occupation listed on the Skilled Occupation List.

If you are an offshore applicant meeting the minimum published requirements, you can lodge an ROI (Registration of Interest) from 10 am, ACST on September 28, 2021.

South Australia’s state nomination requirements

Requirements for Skilled Migrants

If you are a skilled migrant attempting for a state nomination for a Subclass 190 or Subclass 491, you will have to:

• Review the Skilled Occupation List of South Australia to ensure that your occupation is eligible for state nomination from South Australia and you meet the requirements specific to your occupation
• Review all requirements associated with the visa pathway you have chosen which could be:
  • Subclass 491 - Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa
  • Subclass 190 - Skilled Nominated visa
• Review any supporting information that you may require to consider before you apply.
• Prepare and be ready with all documentation required for your application.
• Submit an EOI (Expression of Interest) application to Skilled & Business Migration in case you are applying for the Talent & Innovators program

Requirements for Business Migrants

The requirements for South Australia’s state nomination will vary for business migrants depending on the visa type the applicant is seeking for. If you are one in this category, it’s recommended that you:

• Review all requirements associated with the business visa pathway you have chosen
• Review any supporting information that relates to the visa pathway you have chosen for more details on special requirements as well as processes before applying
• Prepare all necessary documentation for applying.
