Canada’s Citizenship Stats

The Immigration Minister of Canada, Marc Miller, emphasized promoting PR applications for individuals under various categories. The government also called for introducing new and alternate immigration pathways for students and temporary residents with improper documentation.  

 

As per the reports, around 300,000 out of the total 600,000 residents living in Canada need valid documents. Temporary workers or international students who have stayed beyond the expiration of their visas qualify for citizenship.
