Ontario PNP is officially called the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). Ontario nominates immigration candidates with the right skills and experience. The OINP Nomination Certificate can then be used to apply for permanent residency in Canada.
The OINP Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program offers four streams:
Ontario has announced the official closure of the Entrepreneur stream from November 4, 2024. Any previous applications that were submitted under this stream will be continued according to the updated rules. Candidates whose applications are already submitted in this stream will still be eligible for a PR provincial nomination, based on any prior commitments that were made to set up businesses in the province.

Important Announcement: OINP announces changes to the HCP, FSSW and the Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills Stream
OINP updated the educational requirements for nurses who are applying to the Human Capital Stream (HCP) and French-Speaking Skilled Worker (FSSW) streams. Nurses need not show proof of educational requirements if they are registered by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) in the General, Extended, or Temporary class and if their occupation falls under any of the occupations listed below:

Starting from February 26, 2024, all the applications submitted for the OINP program must include an Application Consent Form. The form must be correctly filled out, dated, signed by the primary applicant, applicant’s spouse and dependents (If applicable), and submitted along with the other documents. The Application Consent Form must be completed after receiving an NOI or ITA.
The Ontario Immigration Nominee Program will now accept PTE Core as an English language proficiency Test from January 30, 2024. Students who received a Notification of Interest (NOI)- or an Invitation to Apply (ITA) before January 30, 2024, will remain unaffected by the latest changes.
