A sales supervisor can be involved in the sales process from beginning to end, or only be responsible for particular aspects of it, depending on the role and seniority. A senior candidate for the position will be in charge of identifying new clients, establishing contact, emphasizing the sale's merits, negotiating terms, and drafting contracts.

They are hired by stores and other retail businesses, wholesale businesses, rental service establishments and businesses involved in telemarketing.

They can execute important holding and management activities like opening and shutting the shop, dealing with escalated complaints, planning and implementing marketing strategy, and signing deliveries if necessary.
